1. The service
SenderShield provides technical assessment and assistance relating to business-domain email authentication, including SPF, DKIM and DMARC, together with optional monitoring of relevant authentication and configuration signals.
2. SenderShield Secure
The standard £99 one-off service is intended for straightforward business-domain configurations. It includes assessment of the domain and known legitimate senders, review of relevant SPF/DKIM/DMARC configuration, a staged approach toward stronger DMARC enforcement where appropriate, and a plain-English completion summary.
Complex environments, unusually large sender inventories, unrelated DNS remediation, mailbox compromise, incident response or work outside the stated scope may require a separate quote before additional work is carried out.
3. SenderShield Protect
Protect is optional ongoing monitoring currently advertised at £19.99 per domain per month. It is intended to surface relevant authentication failures, sender changes and configuration changes and to provide periodic plain-English reporting. The precise monitoring scope may depend on the customer's domain and available data sources.
4. Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the services authorised to send email for the domain.
- Tell SenderShield about important changes to email providers, CRMs, marketing platforms, website forms and other sending systems.
- Maintain appropriate administrator access and backups for systems under the customer's control.
- Review and approve material DNS or policy changes where approval is requested.
5. Staged enforcement
DMARC enforcement can disrupt genuine mail if legitimate sending services have not been identified or authenticated correctly. SenderShield therefore does not promise an immediate move to the strictest policy. Timing and the final policy depend on the observed environment and the customer's legitimate senders.
6. No security guarantee
Email authentication can reduce direct spoofing of a domain, but it cannot prevent every form of phishing, lookalike-domain abuse, social engineering, mailbox compromise, malware, fraud or delivery problem. SenderShield does not guarantee that all fraudulent messages will be blocked, that all genuine messages will reach the inbox, or that a customer will avoid financial loss or cyber incidents.
7. Free checker
The free checker is an informational snapshot based on publicly observable records and third-party lookup data. A warning is not evidence that a business has been hacked. A healthy result is not a complete security audit or guarantee. Lookup services can also be unavailable or return incomplete information.
8. Third-party services
Email providers, DNS providers, registrars, hosting companies and third-party lookup or reporting services are outside SenderShield's direct control. Their outages, policy changes or inaccurate data may affect the service or the time needed to complete work.
9. Pricing and payment
Prices shown on the website apply to the described standard scope and may change for future orders. If a customer's environment requires work outside that scope, the additional price should be agreed before the extra work is undertaken.
10. Ending monitoring
Optional monitoring can be ended in accordance with the billing or service arrangement agreed at signup. Ending monitoring does not automatically undo DNS settings already applied during a completed one-off Secure engagement.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, the service is technical assistance rather than insurance, incident response or a guarantee against fraud. Customers remain responsible for their broader security controls, staff processes, financial verification procedures and use of third-party systems.
